A responsive campaign platform built to inform residents, encourage participation, and keep community concerns at the centre of the conversation.
Lisa Patel is a longtime Ajax resident and candidate for Local Councillor in Ward 3. Her campaign is focused on practical leadership, responsible growth, community safety, infrastructure, local business support, and responsive municipal representation. The campaign needed a professional digital presence that could introduce Lisa to residents, clearly explain her priorities, and provide simple ways for people to participate. The website also needed to reflect Lisa’s community involvement and establish trust through real photographs, testimonials, campaign activity, and accessible policy information. EightLabs designed and developed a complete campaign website that serves as the campaign’s central information and engagement platform. Residents can explore Lisa’s background, review her Ward 3 platform, see her involvement throughout Ajax, volunteer, request a lawn sign, donate, or contact the campaign. A key goal was to make the experience feel like an open conversation rather than a traditional marketing funnel. The homepage therefore invites residents to share what is on their minds before requesting personal information, reinforcing the campaign’s listening-first approach. The finished website gives the campaign a fast, responsive, and scalable digital foundation that can support new announcements, photographs, endorsements, policy updates, and community outreach throughout the election period.
The campaign needed to communicate a large amount of information without overwhelming residents or making the website feel like a generic political template. Lisa’s experience, platform, community work, testimonials, photographs, volunteer opportunities, donation process, and contact options all needed to be organized into a clear and approachable experience. The original engagement journey placed too much emphasis on collecting contact details when visitors first arrived. This risked creating friction before residents had an opportunity to understand Lisa’s priorities or feel heard by the campaign. The campaign also had a growing collection of community photographs that needed to load quickly across mobile and desktop devices. Large unoptimized images would have reduced performance, increased mobile data usage, and made the gallery difficult to maintain. Additional requirements included secure form handling, campaign email notifications, donation processing, consistent page metadata, social sharing previews, responsive navigation, and a platform structure that could be updated as the campaign developed.
EightLabs created a responsive campaign website with a clear visual identity built around Lisa’s campaign colours, photography, and direct community-focused messaging. The interface uses strong typography, structured page headings, restrained animation, and clear calls to action to create a credible and memorable first impression. The homepage was redesigned around resident concerns. Instead of immediately presenting visitors with email, phone, and postal-code fields, it introduces Lisa and asks, “What’s on your mind?” Residents can open a focused feedback form, share their Ward 3 concerns, and choose whether to provide their name or email address. A detailed platform section was created to organize Lisa’s priorities across responsible spending, infrastructure, transportation, community safety, housing, seniors, local business, the waterfront, neighbourhood responsiveness, and municipal accountability. Each topic is presented in concise, readable sections that work well on both mobile and desktop screens. The community experience combines campaign statistics, testimonials, event photography, and a full responsive gallery. Images were converted into modern AVIF and WebP formats at multiple sizes so browsers can load the most appropriate version for each screen. The website also includes volunteer registration, lawn-sign requests, resident contact forms, campaign email notifications, donation processing, search-friendly page metadata, social sharing support, accessible navigation, and a backend structured to support continued campaign growth. Performance and usability were considered throughout development. Pages use responsive assets, deferred loading, reusable components, route-specific metadata, and mobile-friendly layouts to keep the experience fast while maintaining a strong visual presentation.

"EightLabs took the time to understand the campaign, the community, and what residents needed from the website. Their communication was professional and responsive throughout the project, and they turned a large amount of campaign information into a website that is clear, welcoming, and easy to use.
