Simba’s Hot Chicken – Restaurant Website

Project Overview

Simba’s Hot Chicken needed a strong digital presence to match their growing popularity in Toronto. We built a bold, modern restaurant website that reflects their Nashville Hot Chicken and Smash Burger brand. The site is designed as a fast, smooth single-page application using React and Vite, featuring a striking red-and-white theme inspired by the restaurant’s fiery menu. It includes a custom-built menu page with clear food categories, spice indicators, and beautiful visuals. The website also integrates directly with Toast POS to display live menu data from both physical locations. Customers can browse items, add them to a cart, and seamlessly continue checkout on Toast’s secure ordering platform.

The Challenge

Simba’s Hot Chicken had no proper website showcasing their brand, menu, or locations. Their menu changed often, which made it difficult to keep online information accurate. They also needed a simple online ordering link that matched customers to the right location while keeping payments secure. Before this project, customers relied on Instagram posts or third-party apps to learn about the restaurant. Simba’s needed a professional, reliable way to display their menu, highlight their halal offerings, connect visitors to online ordering, and strengthen brand trust.

Our Solution

We built a full React and Express-powered website with a strong design system that matches Simba’s branding. The homepage highlights the restaurant, their food quality, and both Toronto locations. The menu page fetches live menu data directly from Toast POS through a custom server integration, ensuring prices and items always stay up to date. A small cart system lets customers browse items before being redirected to Toast’s official ordering pages for payment processing. The site uses TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui, and custom components for consistent styling, animations, and responsive layouts. All code is modular, fast, and optimized for SEO with structured metadata for restaurant searches.
