Project Overview

SKEWERBROS is a custom-built meal subscription platform delivering high-protein chicken kebab meals weekly across the GTA. Customers can select meal quantities, flavors, delivery preferences, and manage subscriptions entirely online. The system supports both recurring subscriptions and one-time orders, with dynamic pricing, delivery zone validation, and a seamless checkout experience.

The Challenge

SKEWERBROS originally worked with other developers, but progress was slow and the platform was not being delivered at the pace the business required. Features were incomplete, timelines slipped, and the system was not production-ready for a live subscription-based operation. With a growing customer base and real delivery logistics to manage, the business needed a reliable team to take over, move quickly, and deliver a stable, scalable solution that could support payments, subscriptions, and weekly fulfillment without delays.

Our Solution

We built a full-stack Next.js application with Stripe handling subscriptions and payments, Prisma managing structured data, and PostgreSQL ensuring reliability at scale. A custom 3-step checkout wizard allows users to adjust meal quantities without restarting checkout, while delivery zones are validated in real time. Customers can manage subscriptions, pause or resume deliveries, update addresses, and view billing history. An admin dashboard provides full visibility into customers, orders, subscriptions, emails, and delivery operations, including a dedicated driver portal for optimized delivery routes.
