Project Overview

The Mu’mini Market Vendor Registration Application is a full online platform designed to help parents register their children, ages five to fourteen, as young vendors at upcoming Mu’mini Market events. The website showcases the brand through a welcoming homepage and supports multiple event locations, including Scarborough, Durham, and East York. The registration experience is handled through a guided six-step form that collects all required information such as event selection, rules acknowledgment, vendor details, booth descriptions, and item listings. Behind the scenes, an admin dashboard allows organizers to create, edit, and manage events, track capacity, view registrations, and monitor attendance. The system modernizes how Mu’mini runs its community markets and provides a smooth, professional experience for families and staff.

The Challenge

Mu’mini needed a reliable and well-organized system to manage vendor registrations for their children’s marketplace events. Previously, there was no unified digital solution for collecting parent information, enforcing event capacity limits, tracking attendance, or administering multiple event locations. Everything had to be coordinated manually, which made it difficult to prevent overbooking, maintain consistent records, and support the growing interest in the program. They needed a proper registration system with structure, validation, secure admin access, and an easy way for families to sign up their young entrepreneurs.

Our Solution

We built a complete end-to-end vendor registration platform using React, TypeScript, Express, and PostgreSQL. Parents register through a six-step form with real-time validation and a clear progress indicator, ensuring clean and complete submissions. The admin panel gives authorized staff the ability to create events, update details, manage capacities, view registrations, and track vendor check-ins. Stripe payment integration enables secure processing of the $35 vendor fee, while email confirmations provide families with a summary of their registration. The platform is mobile-friendly, supports light and dark mode, and uses a custom Mu’mini-themed design system. All registrations, events, and attendance data sync directly with a PostgreSQL database using Drizzle ORM for strong type safety and reliability. The final system delivers a polished, scalable, and easy-to-use workflow for running Mu’mini Market events.
